Mansion88 and 5050Poker Join Microgaming Poker Network

Online gaming software provider Microgaming has announced the addition of two more sites to its poker network, with both Asian-facing Mansion88.com and Malta-based 5050Poker.com joining the Microgaming Poker Network.

5050Poker is currently in the process of applying for an online gaming licence from Malta's Lottery & Gaming Authority and said that it is joining the network as a direct result of feedback from its players, who wanted to be on a network which would grow.

"Our players wanted the chance to play against a truly global opposition on a platform that offered improved game and tournament selection as well as greater liquidity," said Mattias Eriksson, CEO of 5050Poker.

"We listened to and acted on their demands and set about investigating a move to a software partner that would enable us to realise our ambitions for growth. Having thoroughly considered all available options, Microgaming was undoubtedly the best fit and we are convinced that operating within its Poker Network will prove a positive move for our player base.”

Licensed in First Cagayan Leisure & Resort Corporation in the Philippines, Mansion88 is a subsidiary of Gibraltar-based Mansion.com.

"Microgaming's excellent customer support and local presence made the decision to appoint them as our software provider very easy," said Mr Yong, Director of Mansion88 Poker. "By working together, I believe we can continue to raise our profile within the rapidly growing Asian markets; we look forward to a long and successful partnership."

Roger Raatgever, CEO Microgaming said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Mansion88 and 5050Poker to the Microgaming Poker Network and look forward to expanding our world class poker offering. Our ability to provide poker in more languages than any other network is crucial in helping our operators grow, and our partnership will enable both operators to cement their position as leading brands within their respective markets.”

According to figures from the online poker tracking site PokerScout, the Microgaming Poker Network is currently ranked eighth in the top poker networks in the world, behind the likes of Playtech's iPoker Network, PartyPoker and Ongame Network.
